the Island is separated into two parts by the Northern Bight, North Andros and South Andros. The western part of the Island is mainly uninhabited. The Bahamas National Trust is trying to turn it into a protected area.

After eating lunch at ForFar we met our first mate Sage. we headed south to the boat. We were on Captain Harvey’s boat MoonShadow. It’s a 41.5 ft Irwin.PICT0056_thumb IFS has 2 boats Deja Vu and Running Free. The first stop was at the liquor store for beer and rum. The beer was on sale $2 dollar a bottle or 3 for $6. We got to the boat, unloaded the van and stowed our gear.
