I’m currently a Technical Services Manager at CMHP. My responsibilities include Operations, Security, Network Administration, Help Desk, Desktop Support and Engineering. Out of 38 people in our department 20 of them work for me. Right now most of them are my direct reports. Way too many for effective management, but we are coping. We support 3 hospitals, a combined business office, several Long Term Care facilities and some smaller locations. CMHP was formed by the merger of The Community Hospital With Mercy Health Partners in 2004.
I work with some great people. The team I manage is very dedicated to doing a good job. I have to call on them often to go above and beyond. We are currently deploying 8 McKesson applications across our region. Serveral of these are replacing Eclipsys applications that were deployed at The Community Hospital. Prior to April of 2006, I worked for Eclipsys Outsourcing at Community. I was the Network Administrator managing a Nortel Core Network with Cisco WAN connections. I also managed the Checkpoint Firewall for Community and Mercy Medical Center.
